Baby Refusing a Bottle

Nursing is wonderful, but discovering that our babies have joined the "Bottle Refuser" club is quite an unpleasant surprise… We've all heard about it, but we naively hoped it was just something other parents had to deal with.

Our thoughts wander:
"Maybe it’s more common among those who never introduced a bottle…
Maybe it has to do with parents who aren’t quite ready to let go…
Or perhaps it's just something that happens to first-time parents…"

And suddenly, it happens to us… And we’re left speechless… maybe we also have problem letting go?

So.. What's the solution?!
Where’s the answer we’ve been waiting for?!

Many will suggest switching bottles or having someone else give the bottle… And so the journey begins – today it’s dad, tomorrow it’s grandma, once we even let the neighbor try… Nothing is working but we keep at it.
We go out and buy yet another bottle, specially made for bottle-refusers, and still we see zero progress. Slowly but surely frustration sets in. We’ve spent a fortune on unused bottles and trying out different formulas… the whole thing starts to feel absurd so we loose patience. Eventually we are so confused, we can't tell what's right or wrong
anymore
Worst of all, for a moment, we even start regretting breastfeeding… Thinking maybe we could’ve avoided this nightmare…

But honestly, breastfeeding is an incredible gift we are giving our baby and we absolutely don't want to give it up or regret it!

"If only my baby would agree to take the bottle… If only we hadn't gotten into this mess in the first place…"
It's time to reset our thinking! Lets turn this into our last moment of despair and from here on, let's make sense of it all.
